About Me
I completed my training at Baton Rouge General Hospital in Louisiana, where I gained experience treating a wide variety of sports injuries due to football, soccer, swimming, tennis, running, and other professional and recreational sports.
Providing general medicine and sports medicine care to patients offers me a unique perspective, especially when treating athletes. If someone has a chronic illness and then obtains an injury or is experiencing pain, I can ensure they are getting comprehensive care that takes into account all of their needs. Life circumstances, lifestyle and past medical history can impact how someone heals, and I take time to incorporate all of these concerns into a treatment plan.
While I do see patients who only require care due to an injury or illness, I enjoy developing long-term relationships with patients. It is a privilege to get to know so many people in the community and help them to reach their health goals.
In addition to caring for patients, I also train future physicians as a Family Medicine Associate Professor at several institutions including the University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University, Ross University and the American University of the Caribbean.
While I am originally from the Caribbean, I have called South Florida home for almost three decades. I look forward to caring for you and your loved ones at one of my office locations.
