About Me
As a dedicated primary care physician specializing in internal medicine at the Memorial Healthcare System, I am passionate about fostering a healthy, fulfilling life for patients of all ages. My approach to patient care is comprehensive and patient-centered, focusing on preventive measures, regular health screenings and the thorough management of chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
My commitment to medicine is rooted in early disease detection and treatment, coupled with long-term management of chronic conditions to ensure an improved quality of life. I deeply value a shared decision-making process and encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare journey.
My medical expertise extends beyond traditional primary care to include hospital medicine, post-acute care and long-term care, allowing me to offer a broad perspective and understanding of patient care across various healthcare settings. As core faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency Program, I am deeply involved in medical education, sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of internists.
Outside the hospital, I indulge in my passions for reading, writing fiction, singing and exploring the latest in movies and TV series.
Research Interests
My research interests include Obesity Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. Notable past projects include work on real-time PCR diagnosis of Leptospirosis and investigating Endothelial Factors in predicting preeclampsia and its complications.
