About Me

I am a hematologist and oncologist at Moffitt Malignant Hematology & Cellular Therapy at Memorial Healthcare System. I specialize in caring for patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and am dedicated to improving patient care through teaching and clinical research.

From an early age, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. During medical school, while doing a rotation caring for young leukemia patients, I had a family member get diagnosed with cancer. I knew then that I would focus my career on caring for patients with leukemia and other blood cancers.

At Memorial, we are committed to caring for each patient and their loved ones as if they were family. Knowing people are counting on me to treat their disease, cope with their illness and hopefully be cured fuels me daily. Patients with cancer need a lot of support and love, and we try to take care of them and all aspects of their lives, serving as a pillar to help them get through their treatment and beyond.

Research also plays a critical role in my work. I was selected to participate in the International Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop, where I advanced my interest in experimental therapeutics of leukemia. I also continue to serve as a clinical investigator in numerous clinical trials, contribute to multiple publications, and give presentations at local and international meetings.
