About Me
Director, Hematology & Oncology Fellowship Program
I am a hematologist and oncologist at Memorial Cancer Institute, specializing in treating patients with different types of cancer including, but not limited to, sarcomas, malignant melanomas and brain cancers.
I also hold numerous leadership positions at Memorial, including program director for the 15-fellow Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, medical director for Oncology Cancer Research at MCI, and chair of Memorial Healthcare System’s Cancer Committee and Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee. I am also a clinical affiliate professor at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida International University Wertheim School of Medicine and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
At a very young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a medical career. It allowed me to combine my interests in science and biology and interact with people.
At Memorial, we offer multidisciplinary, patient-focused care. This means we look at each patient from head to toe – as a person – not just the cancer itself. We look at their cancer pathology, all the scans they’ve had, and their other medical conditions, and we combine that to provide comprehensive care as a cohesive team.
Every patient I work with becomes a part of my life; they become friends. It is an honor to help them get through a challenging time battling cancer. I am honored and privileged that they chose me to be the one to take care of them.
