About Me
As a hematologist at the Memorial Cancer Institute, I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant disorders of the blood, and currently serve as clinical director for the Benign Hematology Program. With more than 20 years of experience in hematology, I remain passionate about providing patient care and the importance of the doctor-patient relationship.
I grew up in Hollywood walking distance from the first Memorial Hospital, and eventually earned both MD and PhD degrees at the University of Miami. My medical training was completed in Boston at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
Since returning home to join Memorial in 2003, it has been my privilege to help develop programs for the specialized care of hematology patients in our community.
