About Me

I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in the Child and Adolescent Assessment Treatment Service (CATS) Unit. I work with patients who are experiencing severe depression, anxiety, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder, and bipolar disorder and psychosis requiring hospitalization.

Our goal on the CATS unit is to acutely help stabilize a patient’s psychiatric challenges using a judicious combination of medication, group therapy and skill building.

I became a doctor because I have a deep-rooted desire to help others. Working in child psychiatry there is an opportunity every day to positively impact the lives of children and their families. I believe that by improving the lives of children, I can help to improve society as a whole.

When working with patients, I take a systems-based approach to treatment. This means I strive to understand the system that the child lives in, including the child's home life and school life, to see how the different environments and relationships impact their feelings and behaviors.

Before joining Memorial, I was an outpatient psychiatrist at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Wyoming.
