About Me

I am a psychiatrist at Memorial Healthcare System, where I work as a consultation-liaison psychiatrist caring for patients who are currently admitted to the hospital for other medical conditions. We address psychiatric symptoms and determine the most appropriate treatment with the goal of improving their level of functioning before they return to their communities.

I am experienced in treating patients with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, substance use disorders, dementia, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and psychosomatic disorders. I have a particular interest in treatment-resistant psychosis and depression, as well as interventional psychiatry and working with patients with complex medical conditions with a psychiatric component in the hospital setting.

Speaking to a psychiatrist for the first time can be one of the most vulnerable and difficult experiences for a patient or caregiver. I do my best to listen compassionately. I treat my patients as human beings with unique life stories. Our relationship starts with a conversation, where we can build rapport, share relevant clinical information and work collaboratively to reach a diagnosis and offer the best treatment recommendations.

As a graduate of the Memorial Healthcare System Psychiatry Residency Program, I am proud to continue to be part of this organization for the exciting next stage of my career. Memorial’s Division of Psychiatry Services provides continuity of care in the outpatient setting, and I can confidently say that my patients are in good hands once they are discharged from the hospital.
