I am an inpatient psychiatrist at Memorial Regional Hospital. I treat hospital-based patients with mental health conditions including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and schizophrenia. While I enjoy seeing patients in an outpatient setting, I currently am not seeing outpatients.

I was inspired to pursue a career as a psychiatrist after witnessing individuals struggle with mental illness. I saw firsthand how debilitating it could be and wanted the opportunity to be able to help people in similar situations.

When I meet a new patient, I spend a lot of time getting to know them. I take a very detailed patient history and try to learn about them and their life – not only as patients but also as people. Every person is different and has different values, goals, challenges and life circumstances. Despite these differences, my ultimate goal remains the same: to restore a patient's quality of life.

Before joining Memorial, I was an assistant professor of psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, adjunct assistant professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

I'm also a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Association for Academic Psychiatry and the Florida Psychiatric Society.
