About Me
As a hospital-based neurologist, I treat all kinds of neurological disorders striking the brain and nervous system: brain tumors, ischemic strokes, aneurysms and brain hemorrhages, paralytic conditions, infections of the central nervous system, multiple sclerosis and conditions that impair the function of the nerves or muscles, like myasthenia gravis and Guillain-Barré syndrome.
The brain and nervous system has always fascinated me. It’s an astoundingly complex and extremely dynamic field, with new therapeutic options evolving almost every day. I have a personal interest is harnessing the body’s immune system to fight incurable brain tumors. I believe these strategies are the future of treating brain malignancies, and hopefully will lead to a cure.
Being a neurologist is often intense and challenging, but also very exciting and rewarding. It presents an amazing opportunity to help people. I’m kind, caring, compassionate, extremely thorough and creative in my approach to treating and beating neurological diseases. I treat my patients like family because, at the end of the day, we are all family. I am often humbled by their strength, and I am so grateful for my ability to help them. For me, medicine has never been a job; it is a privilege. Saving the lives of my patients and returning them to their families is my biggest accomplishment as a physician.
In my spare time, I like to paint and draw. I’m an avid reader of literature and a published author. I enjoy working out and spending time with my wife and three young children.
