About Me
I am a radiation oncologist at Memorial Cancer Institute. I treat patients with all types of cancer with a focus on head and neck cancers, lung cancer, central nervous system (brain) cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, genitourinary cancers, lymphoma and breast cancer.
My father is a practicing physician and inspired me to pursue a career in the medical field. I chose to specialize in oncology because it is fulfilling to help patients overcome cancer. I also have an undergraduate degree in Nuclear Engineering Sciences, which provided an excellent background for the field of radiation oncology.
When working with patients and their families, I take a broad, high-level view of their cancer journey and treatment plan and discuss specifics of how radiation therapy may or may not fit into the plan for treatment. At Memorial, I work with a great team of other physicians and support staff to help patients overcome cancer.
In addition to caring for patients, I write, teach and present on different aspects of radiation oncology and cancer care. I have authored or co-authored more than 30 scientific papers and am a peer-reviewer for numerous scientific journals, including Cancer, Frontiers in Oncology and the Journal of the American Medical Association, among others.
I also enjoy teaching and training the next generation of oncologists and am a clinical research associate professor at Florida Atlantic University.
