About Me

I am a cardiac electrophysiologist at Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute. I have expertise in the management of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, syncope, defibrillators and pacemakers.

I always knew that I wanted to be involved in medicine. The physics of the heart as a pump fascinated me from when I was young. The heart is such an important organ and when it’s out of regulation and not doing its proper job, the patient feels it right away.

At Memorial, we focus on family care and making sure everyone feels cared for, loved and well. I try to offer my patients what I would offer to my parents or my kids and that gives me the internal tranquility to know that I am doing the best that I can. We want our patients to feel connected to us so they can come back should they need to.

I am multilingual, and speak Spanish, French and English. This gives me the advantage of connecting with people in a more personal way. Understanding someone’s culture is a big part of good medicine.

In addition to my work at Memorial, I am also the director of education for the Latin America Electrophysiology Society, and lecture throughout the United States and Latin America. I have also published in the fields of atrial fibrillation ablation, prevention of stroke, sudden cardiac death and remote monitoring of patients with defibrillators.
