I am a thoracic surgeon at the Memorial Healthcare System. I am board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and American Board of Surgery. I provide care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the lungs, mediastinum, pleural space and the esophagus. I completed my thoracic training at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Miami.

In our division, we practice thoracic surgery using the most advanced, state-of-the-art technology including minimally invasive and robotic techniques.

I knew from a very early age that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine, specifically in surgery, since my father was a surgeon. I had a unique exposure growing up and a great role model. I learned the importance of patient-centered care, which utilizes a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach involving the patient and their family.

Every time a new patient comes into my office, they immediately become part of our practice. My job is to make them feel welcome, comfortable, safe and secure, and that they have all of the information and support they need to be at their best. 

I strongly believe that when a patient is diagnosed with a disease, especially cancer, it can be life altering. It can affect their family life, home life, relationships and work. We make sure that our patients are fully supported throughout the process from diagnosis to treatment to recovery.
