About Me
I am a family medicine physician at Memorial Healthcare System, where I care for patients with acute and chronic conditions. Whether treating respiratory illnesses, UTIs, and minor injuries or managing long-term conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or thyroid issues, my goal is to ensure patients have timely access to care.
My decision to pursue medicine was deeply personal. Growing up, I witnessed the impact of medical challenges within my own family. I lost a beloved nephew to complications from Sickle Cell Disease and saw other relatives suffer from preventable chronic conditions. These experiences fueled my passion to make a difference, particularly in the Black community, where health disparities often hit harder. As a primary care physician, I’m committed to not only helping individuals and families but also addressing these broader disparities in the communities we serve.
With over 23 years of experience, I’m board certified in family medicine and have had the privilege of serving communities in Florida, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. My approach is centered on listening to my patients. I believe in meeting you where you are, understanding your health concerns and respecting your preferred treatment options. I want to empower you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your care. Understanding why a condition needs to be managed is just as important as knowing your lab results or blood pressure readings.
What I love most about my job is connecting with my patients and supporting them on their health journey. In addition to ensuring accessible care, I also want patients to feel heard and understood. Being part of a system that works to lower barriers to care and improve the patient experience is truly rewarding.
