About Me
I am a primary care sports medicine specialist at Memorial Healthcare System. I care for weekend warriors, master athletes, student-athletes and everyone in between with overuse injuries, sports injuries, muscle strains/sprains, tendon injuries, joint pain, arthritis and more.
My medical interests include ultrasound guided injections, regenerative medicine and lifestyle medicine.
While I always wanted to become a physician, I was drawn to the sports medicine field during my training while working the medical tent at the Florida Ironman Race. I was inspired by how motivated the athlete patient population is to succeed and stay at their optimum health. I love seeing people improve and get back to what they love, whether it be sports, travel, work or fun.
I treat my patients like close friends or family members. I like to give them all the information and options that are available, and then we work as a team to make an informed decision together.
I also work with sports teams, providing care, guidance and assistance. I was a team physician for the University of Portland and have also covered several combat sports events including wrestling, boxing and mixed martial arts.
Before joining Memorial, I was an Air Force family medicine physician for four years and served overseas in Turkey. I also deployed to Afghanistan for nine months during the COVID-19 pandemic and was the previous medical director at a satellite outpatient clinic affiliated with MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. In my spare time, I enjoy soccer, hiking, snowboarding, pickleball and spending time with my girlfriend and dog.
