About Me

I am a board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Memorial Healthcare System. In that role, I take care of patients experiencing complications in their pregnancies due to maternal health problems such as hypertensive disorders, diabetes, fetal abnormalities, various other medical and genetic disorders as well as complications in reproduction.

My journey in becoming a doctor started with my first red medical doctor kit from the toy store at age five. In the first grade, play was quickly transformed into caring for others when I was asked to volunteer at the local community health clinic. My job changed quickly from placing Band-Aids after immunizations to other more involved roles as I got older. After graduating high school in Haiti, I was privileged with multiple other opportunities that continued to mold my skills to care for the most vulnerable in our population in special shelters and other places where a helping hand and kind words of encouragement were needed.

While I enjoyed helping in all those circumstances, I have found the most satisfying and impactful work has been taking care of pregnant women and their families. Looking back, life has been preparing me for this career path and I flourish within it. The dedication for equal access to care exhibited by the nuns at the neighborhood clinic, my mother’s passion as a CVICU nurse and the child-like scientific curiosity of some wonderful mentors have shaped me into the type of Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist I aim to be.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine as a field is constantly evolving and through those changes, we are allowed to offer the best science-based knowledge to improve the health of women and their families. For me, every day is a new and unique opportunity to connect with families by providing guidance, understanding and compassion in some of their most difficult moments.
