About Me
I am a trauma and acute care surgeon at Memorial Healthcare System. I care for patients with illnesses and injuries including appendicitis, cholecystitis, bowel obstructions, gastric and duodenal perforations and other trauma-related injuries that require surgical critical care.
I’ve wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember and knew early on that I wanted to be a surgeon. I find it fascinating to be able to cure disease and save lives using my skills through a surgical procedure.
I love interacting with patients and am committed to resolving their ailments. I explain medical conditions to my patients as simply and clearly as possible so that they have a full understanding of their condition and surgical intervention.
I also enjoy teaching medical students and working with residents. I was honored to receive the Excellence in Teaching award from UCLA Medical Students on two separate occasions. I also engage in clinical research and as a resident, won the Excellence in Research award for the best research that academic year.
