About Me

I am a breast surgical oncologist at Memorial Cancer Institute where I provide surgical interventions and care for people with all stages of breast cancer.

I served as an active-duty Naval officer and Lieutenant Commander for the Medical Corps from 1998 to 2011, where I performed general surgery. After 13 years of service, I knew I wanted to continue to work with patients battling breast cancer at a place where they could receive expert, comprehensive care along with compassion, empathy, and support. I completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania in 2014 and joined Memorial shortly thereafter in YEAR.

When you’re diagnosed with breast cancer, you deserve to find the right people who are going to make you feel comfortable and take good care of you. We strive to be that team here at Memorial. My team and I are here to do everything we can to make the cancer treatment process less traumatic while achieving the best outcomes possible. In addition to the latest treatments and surgical techniques, we also provide support for you and your family including a survivorship program, nurse navigators, and support groups. Here, you’re treated as family.

We are living in an exciting era where research has led to countless breakthroughs that have transformed cancer care and are increasing survival every day.

Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy
