Memorial Nurses Present to Over 100 Peers at Orlando Conference

  Leslie Schlang, Nurse Manager and Amelia Vargas, Nurse Manager- Memorial Rehabilitation Institute represented MHS Acute Rehabilitation Nursing at the 47th Annual Education Conference of Florida State Association of Rehabilitation Nurses in Orlando.

Leslie and Amelia presented Rehabilitative Care of patients with Ventricular Access Devices. They partnered with Dr. Jackson Cohen, chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Memorial Regional Hospital South, presenting to over 100 certified rehab nurses across the state of Florida. The team shared best practices for care of VAD patients in a rehab setting.
