Blood Types Needed

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, all blood types are needed. There is also an urgent need for platelet donors and people with O negative blood. OneBlood, the nonprofit blood bank, will set up Big Red Busses and collection sites at five Memorial Healthcare System facilities listed below on Wednesday, September 13 from 10 am to 6 pm.

Big Red Busses will be located at:

• Memorial Regional Hospital campus (3501 Johnson Street, Hollywood)
• Memorial Hospital West campus (703 North Flamingo Road, Pembroke Pines)
• Memorial Hospital Miramar campus (1901 SW 172 Avenue, Miramar)
• Memorial Pembroke 24/7 Care Center (801 South Douglas Road, Pembroke Pines)

A separate blood collection site will be set up at the Memorial Hospital of Pembroke Innovation Center (2301 W University Drive, Pembroke Pines).
