Epilepsy Walk

Did you know that more than 400,000 Floridians live with epilepsy and seizures? 

In an effort to find a cure and raise awareness about the challenges created by epilepsy, a group of spirited volunteers from Memorial Healthcare System’s Neuroscience Institute, Adult Neuroscience and Pediatric departments, and Pet Therapy Friends joined forces with approximately 275 supporters for the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida’s annual Walk the Talk for Epilepsy signature fundraiser.

The event was held Sunday, March 6 at Hollywood’s North Beach Park, where multiple patients stopped by Memorial’s tent to share their inspiring stories with our team about the great experiences they’ve had while being cared for at the institute. As other people walked by, they overheard our patients’ stories and wanted to find out who and where they were going for treatment.
